Outward appearances can be deceiving...

Outward appearances can be deceiving. Take, for example, the young man who came home from a hard night's drinking. Going into the bathroom he looked into the mirror and began to put band-aids on the cuts he had received in a fight earlier that night. In the morning his mother stormed into his room and accused him of coming home drunk again. When he denied it, she asked him, "Okay, then, if you weren't drunk, then who put all those band-aids on the mirror?"
