The pastor stood in front...
Illustration
The pastor stood in front of the confirmation class. He took out a five-dollar bill. "I will give it to whoever comes forward to take it from my hand." The students sat there, some wondering if he really meant it; others watching to see who might actually go forward. Only one, Larry (rather slow in mind and mischievous in behavior), ran to the front of the class and accepted the five-dollar bill from the pastor's hand. There was a lesson to be learned by everyone that day. Only one learned the lesson with joy.
