Remember the trickle down theory...

Remember the "trickle down theory" so popular during the Reagan presidency? The concept is that, if the government gives tax breaks and other financial incentives to large profitable companies and rich individuals, the smaller companies, as well as the middle class and poor, will benefit as the dollars trickle down through the economy. In this way, the large companies would expand, purchase supplies and services from the smaller companies, and hire additional employees. The trickle down theory was designed to help everyone. Unfortunately, the dollars didn't always trickle down quite as efficiently as some had expected and hoped. Likewise, God's graciousness is poured generously into our lives that it might flow freely into our relationships with friends and family -- and enemies. -- Spencer
