Saint Paul writes about gifts...

Saint Paul writes about gifts that God gives the church to build up the Body of Christ. Among these gifts is that of the evangelist, one who proclaims the good news of Jesus Christ. Johann Sebastian Bach has been called "the fifth evangelist," joining the illustrious ranks of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Instead of words and stories, Bach used music. One day Gasan Guseyn-Zade, a concert violinist from Azerbaijan, raised under Communism in a Muslim area, heard a performance of Bach's "St. Matthew's Passion." He was so moved that he searched for a copy of the musical score. This led him to read about Bach and Luther. This chain of events brought Gasan Guseyn-Zade, his wife, and their six-year-old son to the Christian faith. Now, he shares his faith with others through music, as he plays for various congregations in their home area. This is one person's way of "leading a life worthy of the calling to which [he had] been called ... to equip the saints for the work of ministry."
