The United States lived through the Clinton presidency with many questions about what constituted appropriate behavior for the Chief Executive Officer in the White House. Many Baby Boomers were proud to have a president from their generation. They asked themselves if there was a standard of right and wrong. Could it be that Americans were holding an elected official to a higher standard in his private life than they had in their own personal lives?
In many public discussions, some Americans came to the conclusion that behavior was a matter of private family business. Those same folks considered truthfulness to be of paramount importance.
Christians want to not be enslaved to sin but to live a life that is both truthful and repentant.
