Jeremiah 29:1, 4-7
I remember a saying from the 1960s: “Bloom where you are planted.” In effect, the saying means to live your life to its full potential in the here and now. It means not waiting for some magical moment when all the planets have aligned and the world is as perfect as we think it should be. God is telling the people through the prophet Jeremiah to bloom where they are planted. If God has that message for the people in Diaspora, conquered by their enemies, how important is the same message for us?
