Why Didn't Noah Swat Both Mosquitoes?
Plus Other Humorous Stories For Clergy
There is an old story about a Portuguese monastery which was
perched high on a 300-foot cliff. Visitors to the monastery were
strapped into a big basket, big enough for three persons. Then,
they were pulled up to the top of the cliff with a frayed old
rope. One passenger, half-way up, inquired nervously, "How often
do you change the rope?"
"Whenever the old rope breaks," was the reply from the monk in
charge.
