C: we rejoice in the gift of your Holy Spirit.
P: Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,
C: we rejoice in your promise of baptism.
P: Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,
C: we rejoice that we are born anew eternally.
Hymn Of Praise
Praise My Soul The King Of Heaven
Offertory Blessing
P: What shall I return to the Lord for all his bounty to me?
I will lift up the cup of salvation
and forever call upon the name of the Lord.
C: Amen.
Eucharistic Prayer
P: The Lord be with you.
C: And also with you.
P: Lift up your hearts.
C: We lift them up to the Lord.
P: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
C: It is right to give him thanks and praise.
P: It is indeed right and salutary ...
... we join their unending hymn:
C: Holy, holy, holy ...
P: From darkness you brought forth light;
from dust you breathed a man.
In the desert you ran streams of water;
beyond a flood you raised dry land.
C: Nothing is beyond your comprehending;
no one is beyond your care.
P: Fruit of the earth, fruit of the vine,
your holy manna comes to our parched hearts --
thirsting for companionship,
hungry to be made whole.
C: Nothing is beyond your comprehending;
no one is beyond your care.
P: On a journey to many villages
you opened for us the scriptures,
so that gathered here at (fill in the name of your congregation)
our hearts would be set aflame with your love.
C: Nothing is beyond your comprehending;
no one is beyond your care.
P: And so, as in the night of his betrayal,
you sent your Son Jesus, who took bread and gave thanks,
broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying:
"Take and eat. This is my body, given for you.
Do this for the remembrance of me."
Again, after supper, he took a cup, gave thanks,
and gave it for all to drink, saying:
"Take and drink. This cup is the new covenant in my blood,
shed for you and for all people.
Do this for the remembrance of me."
C: Nothing is beyond your comprehending;
no one is beyond your care.
P: Send your Spirit upon these gifts of bread and wine and upon these lives,
that we would proclaim your rising even as the world averts
its eyes from your pain;
so that sitting with the least likely of strangers,
we all would know your love.
C: All honor and glory is yours,
almighty God,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
as you live and reign forever. Amen.
P: Stranger in our midst,
C: bless this bread that we would see.
P: Stranger in our midst,
C: bless this bread that we would see you. Amen.
Benediction
P: Christ Jesus was destined before the foundation of the world,
but was revealed at the end of the ages for your sake.
May his blood cleanse you,
his truth purify you,
and his love burn brightly within you.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, + and of the Holy Spirit.
C: Amen.
