Fourth Sunday Of Advent
Worship
Lectionary Worship Aids
Series VII, Cycle C
Object:
First Lesson: Micah 5:2-5a
Theme: Can So
Call To Worship (Psalm 80:7)
Restore us, O God of hosts; let your face shine, that we may be saved.
Collect
God of peace, we pray for your presence in our congregation today as we seek to speak your Word against the clamor of a distracting, yet hurting, world. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, it was nothing to you to bypass Jerusalem and call your Savior out of Bethlehem (house of bread). And it is just as likely that you will call forth another prophet from our midst. We pledge to open our hearts to your leading for our lives, and to judge one another not based on our preconceptions, but according to the measure of the gifts your Holy Spirit has granted to us. We pray these things in your name. Amen.
Hymns
Good Christian Friends, Rejoice
O Come, All Ye Faithful
Joy To The World
