Call To Worship
God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has not only given us the brightness of a new day, but has given us the light of the glory of his knowledge in the face of Jesus Christ. Come, let us come to the light!
Invocation
God of light, in whom there is no darkness, and who made the sun to shine, wake us not only from the night of rest, but wake us also from our night of doubt and fear.
Bathe our lives in the light of the truth taught by your Spirit and revealed in Jesus Christ, our Lord, whom we praise forever. Amen.
Confession
Gracious God, we confess that though we have seen the Light of the World, often we have preferred to walk in darkness. Forgive our foolish ways, and help us always to keep our eyes upon you that we may not stumble on our journey to walk in the footsteps of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
Because Christ is the light of our lives, we present these gifts. Because Christ has called us to reflect this light and to share his love with a stumbling world, we give these offerings. Amen.
