My soul awaits in hope.
Out of the depths I cry to you:
My needs are vast in scope.
Oh, hear the prayers of all your saints,
Who call upon your name.
Remove from us all pain and care,
Restore to life again.
2. If you should count the cost of sin,
What price ought we to pay?
But, by your Son the debt is paid,
And hope is here to stay.
Forgiveness is the gift you share,
O Lord of love and grace.
We rest assured, as by your cross,
We know your warm embrace.
3. O people of the Lord, rejoice,
Hope always in the Lord,
For Christ has power to redeem:
He is the one adored.
The steadfast love of God, we own;
His praise shall ever be.
A new day dawns, bright as the sun,
Unto eternity.
