Call To Worship
Leader: Give praise to the Lord and let our voices be lifted in joyful song!
People: For the Lord is our strength and our salvation.
Leader: We were once lost and without hope as sinners before our righteous God.
People: Yet in Christ we have been washed clean and given joy in our souls.
Leader: Then let us celebrate the wonder and grace of our almighty and merciful God.
All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Collect
O God, Creator and Sustainer of us all, in Your infinite wisdom You knew we needed Your salvation, hope, and joy if we were to be all You created us to be. We praise Your loving kindness, Lord. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, we have chased after everything the world has to offer thinking we would find peace, hope, and joy, only to experience again and again that the world alone cannot meet the needs of our spirit. Forgive us, Lord, and touch us anew with Your healing love so we might celebrate once again the joy of life only Your presence with us can give. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Hymns
"Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee"
"Rejoice, Ye Pure In Heart"
"His Way With Thee"
Third Sunday After Epiphany
Second Lesson: 1 Corinthians 12:12-31a

Call To Worship
Leader: We are one in the Spirit; we are one in the love of our Lord.
People: But we all have such differing backgrounds and varying needs.
Leader: Yet together in Christ we know a oneness that reflects God's love.
People: A oneness that calls us to share a joy about life with all we meet.
Leader: Then let our lives proclaim the oneness of Christ for all to see!
All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Collect
O merciful and loving God, through Your Holy Spirit You call us to service and You provide us the gifts to carry out Your call in concert as Your Church. We praise Your gracious wisdom, Lord. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, we have often let our focus in life become too narrow. We tend to see only the events in our own lives, our own church, our own denomination, or even our own country, and we have lost sight of Your call for us to witness to the whole world. Too often, Lord, we have forgotten to be the Family of God You called us to be. Forgive us, Lord. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Hymns
"Filled With The Spirit's Power"
"I Am Thine, O Lord"
"O Jesus, I Have Promised"
Third Sunday After Epiphany
Gospel: Luke 4:14-21

Call To Worship
Leader: Come, all who would hear the call to proclaim the Word of the Lord!
People: We are called to take God's Word into a world burdened with despair.
Leader: And we are called to share hope in lives that seem hopeless and lost.
People: Let us share God's love with all we meet so all might have hope again.
Leader: Let us proclaim the Gospel of Christ in every nation and every land.
All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!
Collect
Almighty and wonderful Lord, in Your mercy and grace You allow us to be a part of carrying the Good News of Christ into all the world. We thank You and give You our praise. In Christ we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, so often we have allowed the demands of daily life to be so important to us that we have forgotten to share Your Word with others. We have even been so busy that we have not come to You ourselves and we have let the hopelessness of the world drain away the hope You gave us. Forgive us, Lord, and give us the courage to speak out boldly of Your love. In Christ we pray. Amen.
