Prayers for the Age of Technology

Dear Grantor Of Responsibility:
In the assumption of a larger measure of responsibility for our world and our personal lives, we are launched on a series of new experiences. We have a new feeling of worthiness and self-confidence and are filled with enthusiasm for the life we have in this world.
At the same time, we are experiencing feelings of uncertainty and anxiety. It is harder to sense the security we enjoyed in our prior state of total dependence. We tend often to lose sight of you; we think we are alone and unsupported, totally dependent on our own strength. We wonder if we are causing you to be displeased with us.
Dear Lord, keep us headed in the right direction. Give us the benefit of corrective knowledge and a full measure of your forgiving grace.
Help us to gain confidence by learning to walk and talk with you as we explore the untrodden paths you open before us. Amen.
