Theme: For Whom Are The Promises Of God?
Call To Worship
Leader: O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
People: When I look at the heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have established,
Leader: what are people, that you are mindful of us, and the family of humankind, that you care about us?
People: You have made us a little less than yourself, and have crowned us with glory and honor.
All: O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Invocation
Almighty God, we thank you for your Son, Jesus Christ, who came that your love might be made known to all peoples everywhere, and that they might find their rightful place in the family of God. Be near to us in our worship, that we might go forth from this place to bear our witness to this gospel. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Confession
Lord, it is with anguish and sorrow that we confess we have failed to recognize as our brothers and sisters those children of yours who are different from us. Some are a different nationality or ethnic background; others are of different races; some attend different houses of worship. Open our eyes, Lord, to the truth that all are your children and members of your household. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
Lord, we present these gifts because we believe in a kingdom far greater than any earthly nation; and we believe in a divine will which desires peace and salvation for all. Amen.
Hymns
"Hope Of The World"
"Majesty, Worship His Majesty"
"Standing On The Promises"
