Gospel Lesson: Luke 12:32-40
Theme: Finding Your Heart
Call To Worship (based on Psalm 33:13-22)
One: The Lord looks down from heaven; he sees all humankind.
All: From where he sits enthroned he watches all the inhabitants of the earth --
Left Side: he who fashions the hearts of them all, and observes all their deeds.
Right Side: Truly the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,
Women: our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and shield.
Men: Our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name.
Old And Young: Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.
One: Let us pray.
Collect
Great Lord of all, we gather together to ask your blessing. You have watched us in our travels, in our coming and in our going out, and in our returning. You have seen us, and have loved us, and love us still. Let your Spirit dwell among us in our worshiping today, and in our going out again to perform your will. We praise you, we raise our prayers, we sing in your honor. Bless us in all we do. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession (based on Luke 12:34)
Where our treasure is, there our heart will be also. What treasure can we have outside of you? Amen.
