Call to Worship (based on Psalm 149)
If you have a director of music who could create a musical response to the words: "Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song," this would be a good way to start your worship service. Have the musician teach the response to the congregation before the service begins.
Leader: Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the faithful.
People: (Singing) Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song.
Leader: Let the children of Zion rejoice. Let them praise God's name with dancing, making melody to God with tambourine and lyre.
People: (Singing) Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song.
Leader: For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people and adorns the humble with victory.
People: (Singing) Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song.
Leader: Let the faithful exult in glory; let them sing for joy!
All: (Singing) Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song.
Call to Confession
Where two or three are gathered in God's name, God is among them. Let us now confess our sins to the God who is among us, laying before God those things we have done which harm our relationship with this God among us.
Prayer of Confession
God among us, we come to worship you every week for many reasons. One is to be refreshed in spirit for the week to come. Another is because we're feeling guilty for things we have done or not done to others. Another reason is because we want our children to learn decent values to live in this world. But very seldom do we come because we know in our hearts that you are here among us. In fact, you are with us all the time, but we don't remember to include you in our decision--making. Forgive us, God, for forgetting you. Help us to praise and glorify you for all good gifts, especially the gift of forgiveness and eternal life given to us through your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Assurance of Forgiveness
Loving God, throughout history you have given your people promises, and over and over we have forgotten them. But your greatest promise was Jesus Christ who promises to forgive our sins if we but only repent and ask for forgiveness. What great news for us. Thank you, God. Help us remember to ask. Amen.

Voice 1: Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. The commandments:
Voice 2: You shall not commit adultery;
Voice 5: You shall not murder;
Voice 8: You shall not steal;
Voice 3: You shall not covet;
Voice 1: Are summed up in this word,
All: Love your neighbor as yourself.
Voice 4: Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore,
All: Love is the fulfilling of the law.
Voice 9: Besides this, you know what time it is, how it is now the moment for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we became believers
Voice 6: The night is far gone, the day is near. Let us lay aside the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.
Voice 7: Let us live honorably as in the day
Voices 3 and 7: Not in reveling and drunkenness
Voices 3, 5, and 7: Not in debauchery and licentiousness,
