Collect
O God, when everything around us seems to be crumbling, when there appears to be no avenue of escape from trials and tribulation, and when we are tempted to despair, we remember that your love is unfailing and your mercy will continue. We put our hope in you, Lord, for you are all that we have. Hear our prayers of supplication as well as thanksgiving and our songs of praise to you. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Merciful God, we confess that our sins have been part of the reason for the troubles that beset us. We are heartily sorry for these our misdeeds, and pray that in your forgiveness we may find new meaning for our lives as we strive to serve you in all that we do. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
Lord, we thank you for the ministries to which you have called us, both as a church and as individuals. Accept these offerings for those ministries as we rededicate ourselves to serving you. Amen.

Theme: Encouragement To Witness
Call To Worship
The Apostle Paul admonished Timothy to keep alive the gift that God gave him. May our time together be an occasion to rekindle the fire of the Holy Spirit within us that fills us with power, love, and self-control.
Come, let us worship together!
Collect
Understanding God, when the fires grow cold and our hearts become weary, we turn to you for encouragement. We know that we can trust you, and so we ask your blessing on this service. May it be a means of empowerment for each one of us. Let our mission be made clear, and may we feel the power of your Spirit encouraging us to go forth to be faithful witnesses of your love. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, forgive us when we let disappointment and despair get the upper hand. Keep us faithful in our service to you, and may we never lose our hope for a future directed by you. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
The offerings we bring, O Lord, may seem relatively small and insignificant, but make us ever mindful that each of us can make a difference. Bless these gifts and our small efforts, we pray, that they may be used in the building of your kingdom. Amen.

All: We will give thanks to the Lord, because he is good; his love is eternal!
Collect
Lord Jesus, you have taught us that as faithful disciples we are to serve you by serving our neighbors. We do this not because we are seeking thanks or recognition, but because of our love for you. Be near to us now as we seek to strengthen our faith that we might do even greater deeds of love and mercy for the sake of your kingdom. Amen.
