Call To Worship (Psalm 146)
One: Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul!
All: I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God all my life long.
Women: Do not put your trust in princes, in mortals, in whom there is no help.
Men: When their breath departs, they return to the earth; on that very day their plans perish.
Front: Happy are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD their God,
Back: who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps faith forever;
One: who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets the prisoners free;
All: the LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous.
Women: The LORD watches over the strangers; he upholds the orphan and the widow, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.
Men: The LORD will reign forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the LORD!
Unison Prayer
Lord of the Harvest, Lord of Life, we praise you and beg you to descend and live among us today. You are our hope in this troubled world. You are the peace that passes understanding. Guide us today in our worship. Inspire us and lead us with this good news, this gospel, into those troubled areas which need it most. Bless us in our gathering. Lord, these things we pray, trusting in your everlasting reign. Amen.
Offering Prayer
Day by day, Lord, we pray that we shall dedicate our lives, our substance, and our intentions to your work in the world. Amen.
