Call To Worship (Psalm 111)
One: Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation.
All: Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them.
Left Side: Full of honor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever.
Right Side: He has gained renown by his wonderful deeds; the Lord is gracious and merciful.
Women: He provides food for those who fear him; he is ever mindful of his covenant.
Men: He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the heritage of the nations.
Younger: The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.
Older: They are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness.
One: He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name.
All: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever.
Collect
Lord, we will give thanks to you with our whole heart, in the company of this congregation. Great are your works. We delight in our study of them. Your work is full of honor and majesty and your righteousness endures forever. Bless our gathering this morning, bless us in our praise of you. Lord, you are gracious and merciful. Share your grace with us. Demonstrate your mercy in your continued blessings. The work of your hands is faithful and just. Let your work be manifest in our fellowship as you perfect us in your love. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession (2 Timothy 2:11-13)
One: The saying is sure: If we have died with him, we will also live with him;
All: if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he will also deny us;
One: if we are faithless, he remains faithful -- for he cannot deny himself.
