Call To Worship
Leader: God said: As shepherds seek out their flocks when they are among their scattered sheep, so I will seek out my sheep.
People: Will you find us, God, when we hide behind work that has no purpose?
Leader: I will rescue you from all the places to which you have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness.
People: Will you nourish us, God, with food that restores our spirit?
Leader: I will feed you with justice.
People: Will you help us, God, to thrive beyond simple survival?
Leader: I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak. I will save my flock ... and I, the Lord, will be your God.
Collect
We rejoice, O God, that Christ is sovereign. We rejoice that we are a found people, no longer lost and no longer wandering alone through the wilderness. Praise be to our freeing Christ. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
We know about days of clouds and thick darkness, O God, when we no longer can find our way. We are grateful for your promise to seek us out and shepherd us through such urgent times. In the name of Christ. Amen.

You surprise us, O God, in the ways you make yourself known to us. We become aware of your presence as we make decisions. Timely opportunities come to us leading us on toward a new, suitable course. We praise you, O God, whose healing energy persistently makes itself known in a troubled world. We see you in the small act that makes a significant difference in one person's life. We see you in the pivotal actions of leaders and nations who labor to make their world a better place. We praise you for keeping your promises through Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
We come, O God, both as the needy and as those who quietly proclaim by our actions to those in difficulty that Jesus' love prevails. When we ourselves face burdensome times, remind us that we are not powerless. In turn, quicken awareness of ourselves as vehicles of Christ's power. Through Jesus the Christ. Amen.
