Call To Worship
John the Baptist exclaimed as he saw Jesus: "Look, here is the Lamb of God!" Two disciples heard him and they followed Jesus. We have come this morning to worship Jesus, the Lamb of God; let us also be prepared to follow him as faithful disciples. Come, let us worship.
Invocation
O Lord, our God, whose light no darkness has overcome, shine now into all the shadowed places of our lives, that in your shining we may see who we are to be, what we are to do, and where we are to go if we find ourselves in you. We pray through Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, and the Light of the World. Amen.
Confession
Heavenly Father, we know that you sent your Son into the world as "the Lamb of God," that through him the world might be saved from sin and reconciled to you. However, we are too easily satisfied with the knowledge that you love us and that we are your children. We fail to live the kind of lives you expect of your children. Forgive us, Lord, and help us to find that abundant life reserved for those who know how to be your children fully and completely. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
Lord, we offer these gifts that through them we, like John the Baptist, might be witness to the coming of the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. Use them, we pray, to go where we cannot go, communicating where we cannot speak, and touching lives we will never know. Amen.
