Second Lesson: Revelation 1:4-8
Theme: Will The Real Jesus Please Stand Up!
Call To Worship (Psalm 150)
One: Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty firmament!
All: Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his surpassing greatness!
One: Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp!
All: Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe!
One: Praise him with clanging cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
All: Let everything that breathes praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Collect
Lord, we offer up to you the music of our heart, the notes of our soul, the lyrics of our lives. Be present with us today, conducting our thoughts and intentions, leading us in our worship. You are the source, you are the author, of all that is best in us. When we become your will then we allow your light that is in us to shine in the darkest corners of the world. We praise you. We adore you. Amen!
Prayer Of Confession
Alpha and Omega, first and last, the whole of creation, all that we see, and all that is hidden from our sight, is yours by virtue of the fact that you made it. The earth is yours, and the fullness thereof. What we offer is a token of that fullness. Accept it as an earnest of greater things to come. Increase our dedication to your work and your kingdom. Amen.
