Worship reverently the One who is, who was and who is to come, Sovereign of sovereigns, together with the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, Jesus, our high priest.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
ALPHA GOD, OMEGA GOD, YOU ARE OUR BEGINNING AND OUR END. WE CONFESS THAT WE ARE RELUCTANT TO BE
COUNTED AMONG THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CRUCIFIXION OF THE ONE YOU SENT TO BE OUR SAVIOR. WE MAY BE DOUBTFUL TOO ABOUT THE TESTIMONY TO HIS RESURRECTION. FORGIVE THE PRIDE THAT PREVENTS OUR HONEST CONFESSION OF SIN AND THE DOUBT THAT REFUSES TO HEAR AND SEE WHAT MIGHT STRENGTHEN OUR WAVERING FAITH, DESPITE OUR RESERVATIONS. WE PRAY IN THE NAME OF YOUR SPECIAL SON, JESUS OF NAZARETH, YOUR ANOINTED ONE, OUR SAVIOR. AMEN
DECLARATION OF GOD'S FORGIVENESS
Hear the Good News! Jesus is alive, and holds the keys of death and death's domain. He is the first and the last and is the living one. He is forgiving and says: Do not be afraid. Friends, believe the Good News! IN JESUS CHRIST, WE ARE FORGIVEN.
EXHORTATION
Exult in the triumph of Jesus over death. He makes us a royal priesthood to bring others to God.
PRAYER OF THE DAY
COME TO US, IMMORTAL MONARCH, IN THE TIME OF OUR DOUBTING TO REASSURE US, THAT AS YOU WERE VULNERABLE BUT VICTORIOUS IN THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF HISTORY YOU WILL BRING US SAFELY THROUGH ALL TESTING TO FINAL TRIUMPH. AMEN
PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
LIVING SPIRIT, WE GIVE THANKS FOR ALL THAT HAS BEEN RECORDED IN THE GOSPELS OF ALL THAT JESUS PERFORMED IN THE PRESENCE OF THE APOSTLES. WE REJOICE IN THE OTHER SIGNS TOO NUMEROUS TO BE WRITTEN THAT CHRIST HAS GIVEN AMONG YOUR PEOPLE, THEN AND NOW: THE HEALING OF THE SICK, THE PEACE THAT HAS BEEN GIVEN TO THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN DOUBTFUL BUT WANTING TO BELIEVE. WE EXULT IN THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RISEN MONARCH AND LIVE IN HOPE OF THE FINAL TRIUMPH OF YOUR MONARCHY. AMEN

RECEIVE AND SANCTIFY OUR GIFTS TO EXTEND THE POWER OF YOUR KINGDOM, TO THE GLORY OF JESUS CHRIST, YOUR RESURRECTED SON. AMEN

Why are the nations in an uproar?
WHY DO THE PEOPLES MUTTER EMPTY THREATS?
Why do the kings of the earth rise up in revolt
AND THE PRINCES PLOT TOGETHER, AGAINST THE LORD AND AGAINST HIS ANOINTED?
"Let us break their yoke," they say:
"LET US CAST OFF THEIR BONDS FROM US."
He whose throne is in heaven is laughing:
THE LORD HAS THEM IN DERISION.
Then he speaks to them in his wrath,
AND HIS RAGE FILLS THEM WITH TERROR.
"I myself have set my king upon my holy hill of Zion."
LET ME ANNOUNCE THE DECREE OF THE LORD:
He said to me, "You are my Son;
THIS DAY HAVE I BEGOTTEN YOU.
Ask of me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance
AND THE ENDS OF THE EARTH FOR YOUR POSSESSION.
You shall crush them with an iron rod
AND SHATTER THEM LIKE A PIECE OF POTTERY."
And now, you kings, be wise:
BE WARNED, YOU RULERS OF THE EARTH.
Submit to the Lord with fear,
AND WITH TREMBLING BOW BEFORE HIM;
Lest he be angry and you perish;
FOR HIS WRATH IS QUICKLY KINDLED.
