Seventh Sunday Of Easter
Worship
Lectionary Worship Aids
Series VI, Cycle A
Object:
Theme: God's Messengers Come To Us In Our Time Of Indecision
Call To Worship
Leader: God is Spirit.
People: And we who worship him must worship him, in spirit and in truth.
Invocation
Most Merciful Father, who has willed that your children should dwell in families, we praise your name for all the joys of family love and comradeship. Enable us, of your great mercy, so to open unto you the doors of our abodes that you yourself may dwell therein, and your blessing may rest constantly upon them; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Confession
Father, inner distractions often interrupt our worship, and we allow coldness of heart to quench your Spirit. Forgive us, we pray. Help us to focus our undivided attention on your Divine Word, and warm our souls with a holy enthusiasm. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
O God, we present these gifts that they might be used by you to bring hope where there is despair, insight where there is blindness, love where there is hate, justice where there is oppression, and faith where there is unbelief. Amen.
Hymns
"For The Beauty Of The Earth"
"Our Parent, By Whose Name"
"Help Us Accept Each Other"
