Series VI, Cycle C
Theme: What Must I Do To Be Saved?
Call To Worship
Leader: The Lord loves those who hate evil.
People: He protects the lives of his people.
Leader: Light shines on the righteous, and gladness on the good.
People: All you that are righteous, be glad because of what the Lord has done!
All: Remember what the holy God has done, and give thanks to him.
Collect
Ever-faithful God, keep us faithful in time of adversity. You have taught us that no matter what difficulties we may encounter, you are always with us. So fill our hearts with joy and thanksgiving that we may offer this salvation to all who will believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
O God, when adversity comes upon us, we have often looked to blame someone for our plight. Help us to learn from Paul and Silas that we would better spend our time in prayer and singing hymns to you. Strengthen our faith in your presence through bad times as well as good. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
Lord, we have praised you with our hymns and poured out our hearts to you in prayer. Now we present unto you our gifts that you may know we mean what we sing and pray. Amen.
Hymns
"Let Us Plead For Faith Alone"
"And Can It Be That I Should Gain"
"Come, Sinners, To The Gospel Feast"
Seventh Sunday Of Easter

Call To Worship
Leader: The Lord is king! Earth be glad!

People: and all the nations see his glory.
All: Praise to the Lord Almighty, the ruler of all the earth. Amen.
Collect
Lord Almighty, we come to worship you and to give you thanks for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ. Through Christ we have come to know you as a God of love and mercy. Come into our hearts, this day, Lord; come in to stay. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord Jesus, we gather as part of your Body here on earth. We are meant to be a reflection of your love and mercy, but there are times when we have failed to love one another. In our weakness we have failed you and your mission, Lord. We come now seeking your forgiveness. Create a right spirit within us, we pray, that we might truly be to the world an example of how your children can live and work together in harmony and peace. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
Lord of the Church, we bring these gifts and dedicate them to be used in carrying out the ministry of Jesus Christ. Amen.

"Come, Thou Almighty King"
"Come, Thou Fount Of Every Blessing"
"Come Down, O Love Divine"

Leader: There is one God and Father of us all, who is above all and through all and in you all.
People: For all who are led by the spirit of God are children of God.
Leader: Come, walk in the way of the Lord with songs of gladness and joy.
People: The Lord is near to all who call upon him, to all who call upon him in truth.
Collect
Almighty God, Father of us all, we gather as part of the Body of Christ, your Church, dedicated to being the loving hands of Jesus to reach out to feed the poor, comfort the sorrowing, visit the lonely, and loosen the bonds of sin that enslave so many of your children. As we worship, bind us into one body, with each having a function to fulfill, so that we might better serve you, and also so the world may know that you love them. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Merciful God, where we have sought power and glory for ourselves, forgive us. Teach us the true meaning of unity as along with all who profess your name we strive to work together in peace and harmony so we might show forth your love to the world. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
As your Church, O Christ, we want to help those in need wherever they are, and so we bring these gifts that your love may be shown throughout the world in places far and near, where we are unable to go in person. Amen.

"At The Name Of Jesus"
"Go, Make Of All Disciples"
