Theme: The Lord's Servant Is Obedient
Call To Worship
Leader: Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good, and his love is eternal.
People: Let all who worship him say, "His love is eternal."
Leader: In my distress I called to the Lord; he answered me and set me free.
People: It is the Lord who helps me. It is better to trust in the Lord than to depend on human leaders. Amen.
Collect
Lord, in this time of worship teach us and give us understanding. As we celebrate your triumphal entry into Jerusalem, grant us new insight as to the nature of your kingdom and your rule over the hearts of people. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Merciful God, forgive us when we dream of a holy war in which we would set you up as the ruler of the world, and help us to realize that you will conquer as you win the hearts of men and women. Keep us faithful to the task, and let us leave the time of your victory to you. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
As we celebrate Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, we dedicate these gifts, O God, to your eventual triumph over the hearts of your people. Amen.

"All Glory, Laud, And Honor"

Call To Worship
Leader: God, you are our refuge and defense; guide us and lead us as you have promised.
People: We place ourselves in your care. You will save us, Lord; you are a faithful God. Amen.
Collect
Eternal God, we come this morning to proclaim to all the world that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. We come, too, seeking the attitude that Christ Jesus had that we might make it our own. Bless our time together, we pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
O Lord, how often we call upon you to fulfill our needs. We invoke Christ's name for selfish reasons. Forgive us, we pray, for our casual approach to the sacrifice that Christ made for us, and renew a right spirit within us. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
Praise be to you, O Christ, for your redeeming love and the promise of new life. We honor you in presenting these offerings, and pray that you will consecrate these gifts and those who give to your service. Amen.
Hymns
"Precious Name"
"Mantos Y Palmas" ("Filled With Excitement")

Sunday Of The Passion
(Sixth Sunday In Lent/Palm Sunday)
Gospel Lesson: Luke 22:14--23:56 or Luke 23:1-49
Theme: The Last Days Of Jesus Before The Resurrection
Call To Worship
As we begin Holy Week, we need to stop and look at the last days of Jesus before his resurrection. It was for us that he suffered the pain and agony, the mockery and ridicule, even death upon the cross.
The cries of Hosanna on Palm Sunday soon turned to anger as they shouted: "Crucify him!"
As we worship, let us give thanks for such great love that was willing to die for us!
Collect
O Lord Jesus Christ, on this day when we celebrate your triumphal entry into Jerusalem, we are mindful of how quickly the shouts of praise turned to derision as the crowd cried out for your death. We cannot fully realize the pain and agony you suffered, but we know it was for us, and we are truly grateful. Praise be to you, our Savior and our God. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
O God, like the crowds in Jerusalem so long ago, we, too, are easily swayed by popular opinion. Forgive our weakness, we pray, and keep us faithful to our Lord and Master, even Jesus Christ. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
Our offerings seem so small and insignificant when we contemplate Christ's offering of himself upon the cross for our salvation. Yet we know, Almighty God, that you can take our gifts and do great things to further your kingdom. For this we give you thanks and praise. Amen.
Hymns
"Crown Him With Many Crowns"
"The Old Rugged Cross"
"All Hail The Power Of Jesus' Name"
