Story Time At The Altar

My granddaughter knows the meaning of Trinity.
She is Amber, Lisa, Tiger Lily, all three,
For as she said, trying to explain,
"All three are one in me."
A bishop pointed to the figure of Christ being baptized in the River Jordan pictured in a stained glass window and asked the children gathered at the altar, "Is this God?" They answered, "Yes."
He pointed to the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove hovering over the head of Christ. "And is this God?" They answered, "Yes." He then pointed to the Father in the clouds, "Is this God?" They answered, "Yes."
"But," he asked, "that makes three gods?"
One of the children quickly replied, "No, one god."
The bishop mused, "But I do not understand," to which the boy replied, "You are not supposed to understand. It's a mystery!"
Talk together: Are there things you don't understand? What do you do? Jesus commanded his disciples to obey and remember that he is with them always.
Prayer: Dear God, the three-in-one, we worship you in mystery because you are God. Help us to love when we do not understand. In Christ's name. Amen.
