Belong to the truth
Children's Activity
Object:
Teachers: Focus this activity on the phrase "Everyone who
belongs to the truth listens to my voice." Tell your students
that this phrase means that when we become followers of Jesus our
lives are guided by him.
Give each student a sheet of paper. For this project, it would
be best to use a card stock paper. Have students write "I belong
to the truth" on the paper. Then decorate the paper. Then give
each student a pair of scissors. Have students cut their paper
into a few pieces -- suggest five or six pieces. This results in
a puzzle. Have them trade their puzzle with the person next to
them. Have each student try to assemble someone else's puzzle.
Parents: Repeat this project at home. Have your child write a
Bible phrase on a piece of paper. Then decorate the paper. Have
the paper cut into five or six pieces. The result is a puzzle for
you to try to reassemble.
