Lost and found
Children's Activity
Object:
SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME
AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT HOME
Materials:
Scavenger hunt list
Bags for children
Pencils (optional)
Directions:
1. Come up with a list of items for children to find around the church. (Example: pen with the church's name on it, a Bible, something green...) If preferred, give them a checklist instead of having them collect things.
2. Depending on size of group, give each child a list and a bag or split them up into smaller teams. Make sure one child in each team is old enough to read or has an adult supervisor.
3. Give them a time limit to go and find their items around the church.
Variation for older children: Give them Bible verses to look up and have a scavenger hunt in the Bible. Put Bible verses with blanks on the search sheet, and see who can fill in all the blanks the fastest.
