HOME
Materials:
Dog biscuits shaped like bones (1 per child)
1/4-inch brown pom-poms (2 per child)
1/2-inch brown pom-poms (4 per child)
Small wiggle eyes (2 per child)
Brown craft foam cut into teardrop-shaped ears (2 per child)
Heavy craft glue
Polyurethane or sealant (optional)
Magnet or pin (optional)
Directions:
1. Give the children each a biscuit and help them place the ears on opposite sides of the top of the bones.
2. Instruct the children to glue the foam ears onto the biscuits.
3. Using a small drop of glue, help the children glue the wiggle eyes onto the biscuits under each curve lower than the valley on the top of the bone shape.
4. Have the children glue the two smaller pom-poms on the biscuits below the eyes to form the mouth area. These should be glued close together.
5. Have the children glue the feet on using the four larger pom-poms. Two of these go on the lower curves of the bone and the other two should go about halfway down the bone on the edge.
Optional: Biscuits can be sprayed with polyurethane or sealant to protect them. A magnet or pin can be glued on the back to display the dog.
Note: Instruct the children that these should not be fed to a pet.
