All of us have speculated about what we would ask for if we suddenly discovered Aladdin's lamp and the genie of the lamp gave us three wishes. And most of us sooner or later came to the conclusion that unless the genie ruled it improper, our last wish would be that we could have whatever we wanted for the rest of our lives. Isn't that basically what Solomon did when God told him he could ask for whatever he wanted and he asked, not for wealth or power or fame, but for wisdom?
