Americans are accustomed to thinking of the jihad movement as something overseas, inspired among faithful Muslims in Pakistani schools and Saudi mosques. But, during the 1990s, over 1,000 jihadists came from America. Included are a former cab driver, college students from Yale and North Carolina Central, a martial arts expert, a high school valedictorian who enjoyed playing chess, and a former soldier in the United States Army. All would gladly give their lives if necessary for the cause of Islam.
