In the Anglican and Roman Catholic service of "The Reconciliation of a Penitent," the final dismissal after the absolution by the priest, who says to the penitent, the words of Nathan to David, "The Lord has put away all your sins." (Followed by "Go in peace." the words of Jethro to Moses in Exodus 4:8, of the priest Micah to the Danites in Judges 18:6, and of Jesus to the woman who was a sinner in Luke 7:50. The priest adds, "And pray for me, a sinner.")
