Annie was dying. Though it seemed as if she had been dying forever, in reality it had only been three weeks since her doctors said to her, "Get your things together because you don't have long." They tried to live life to the fullest in those three weeks. Arrangements were made for Annie to have full nursing care at home. Lists were made. Business was conducted. Memories were shared. Pictures were taken. Prayers for healing were prayed. But no one talked about Annie's dying until a nurse said, "It won't be long now.
