A)When birds...

(A)
When birds were first created, they could not fly for they had no wings. They looked with longing at the clouds, the high branches, and the best fruits at the tops of the trees. If only these could be theirs.
God heard their desire. One night, while all the birds were sleeping, he attached wings to their backs. But when they awoke, the birds were furious God had given them an unwanted burden which now they would have to carry about with them the rest of their lives. How could God lay upon them more than they already had to bear?
