Baseball is a great team game. A winning pitcher or the player with the most hits may look like the star of the game. However, other players may make just as important of a contribution without getting much attention. A fielder might make a good play at a crucial moment or the middle relief pitcher might hold the score close until the big bats can come up. A batter might move a base runner to second or third base even though he makes an out. In the end that might lead to an important run.
