Being a stamp collector has brought me personal reward, mostly in the form of new information gained through the discovery of the story behind particular stamps. I recently saw a stamp from Greece. The stamp was still on the envelope. In this case, it was not the stamp that aroused my curiosity but the cancellation. One of the words in the postmark was the same Greek word that is translated apostle in the New Testament. The literal meaning of that word is "one sent on a mission."
