This Bible reading brings up a discussion about who was really responsible for the crucifixion of Christ. Such discussion has been going on in the church for two thousand years. Touching on anti-Semitism, certain sectors of the church have pointed the finger at the Jewish race. Though the discussions are sophisticated --and sometimes prejudiced --let's not quickly forget the hymn verse of the old song writer:

Yet, O Lord, not thus alone
Make me see your Passion,
But its cause to me make known
And its termination.
For I also and my sin
