Do we call it chance, circumstance, accident, or what? The time has come for the young church to break out into the Gentile world. The time is ripe. The old pagan religions are losing their hold and appeal. The Pax Romana embraces most of the known world, insuring stability. All peoples can communicate in the universal language, koine Greek. All roads literally lead to Rome and, thanks to the Pax Romana, travel flows smoothly. At this particular time, a man is brought onto the scene. He is a citizen of three worlds. He is Jewish, a Pharisee, a member of the tribe of Benjamin.
