Do we lay hands on life for good or ill? Once there was a king and a wise man. The king resented this particular old man because the people respected him so much. They were always seeking his advice. The king stayed up many a night. He tried to think of some way to discredit the old man. The king wanted to embarrass him in front of the people. The king hit upon a scheme. One day he summoned all his followers, and sent for the wise man. He arrived. The King asked him, "O wisest of men, tell me this. I have the tiniest of birds cupped between my hands.
