Don Giovanni, a renown opera...
Illustration
Don Giovanni, a renown opera of Amadeus Mozart, is often criticized as being too long and a reminder of how tedious Mozart could be. As a story, the tale also reveals how impish Mozart was. There are those who are highly critical of the opera as being immoral. Beethoven refused to play the last act. By today's popular standards the story line is no shocker at all, but for its day it must have lifted many eyebrows.
