Don's youth group planned a service project at a local nursing home. The instructions were simple: Each member of the youth group would partner with a resident at the home and then visit with them.

Don was less than enthused about the whole idea. Several times he told the group leader that he did not really want to participate. He said he would rather do something else as a service project, but was not sure what. The youth leader explained that by serving others we live out our faith and that many of the people in the nursing home would really appreciate the company.
