Eric developed his love and thirst for money at an early age. Born into poverty, a father who could not provide adequately for his family and a mother who was forbidden by her husband to work outside the home, Eric longed to be like the other kids at school. He wanted a new ball glove instead of the old cast off he got. He wanted to wear new clothes instead of ones his mother picked up at "New 2 U."
