Even in a convent, where liturgical services are a part of everyday life, we have to have choir practices for music and service order. The practices are more than routine rehearsals -- they give us an opportunity to see what the layout of a particular service will be, what we can expect liturgically as the service unfolds. The practices are not the service itself, but a preparation of the service. -- Winifred
