Every parent knows the frustration of telling children to do something that doesn't get done. Very often the conversation goes something like this. "Will you please clean your room?" "Yes, Mom, right away." Two hours later. "Have you cleaned your room?" "Yes, of course." At the dinner table. "I looked in your room, and it wasn't clean at all! What have you been doing?" "Well, I went to the neighbor's, I rode my bike, I went to the store, I played some games -- but I'll clean my room right after dinner!"
