Following Jesus is a challenge. That word, challenge, has been used by the church for years, but now it has found itself in the marketplace. We are horizontally challenged (too heavy), vertically challenged (too short), mechanically challenged (all thumbs), and many much more serious uses of the term. Jesus challenged people in one way because he talked on two levels at one time. To the woman at the well he talked of living water, and she wanted some right away. She missed the implication that living water was something more than just water.
