A friend recently told me how much better he felt after years of carrying around an old grudge. It seemed that his sister was always favored by their father as they grew up. It never seemed to matter what the situation was, the father always seemed to side with his daughter. Even after they were grown, it appeared that his sister always needed something extra and it was his responsibility to fix it. After his father died, the separation grew larger because the father was not there to insist on him helping his sister. They became estranged and seldom spoke.
