A group of Presbyterians were traveling in Guatemala. One day the group was scheduled to visit a small, rural Presbyterian church there. When they arrived, all the members had assembled outside the building. None had shoes on, but they were all dressed as nicely as they were able. When the American group approached them, the church members brought forward three young children from their midst and started chattering very excitedly in Spanish. When their words were translated, it turned out that they were thanking the Americans.
