Emphasis Preaching Journal

Have you ever thought about how much the Christian life is like a glider airplane? Like a glider, we cannot rise above by our own power. We must be lifted up by another power. If we allow it, the same one who raised Christ from the dead, will raise us to a higher level of life. Also, like a glider we will soon sink back to earth if we carry a heavy load. Some Christians try to carry the earth with them into this higher realm. It won't work. Even the strong winds of the Spirit cannot long hold aloft those whose minds are holding on to the things of the earth.
