On his eightieth birthday shortly before his death, Joseph Szigeti, a famous violinist, granted a significant interview. After reminiscing about his associations with many sterling figures in the world of music, Mr. Szigeti was asked about the future of classical music. He was most optimistic. In spite of the inferiority of much contemporary music and the great competition of popular music, Mr. Szigeti was most hopeful about the young people in music today. He predicted that the media would give a great boost to the renaissance of classical music.
